Container load calculator: roughly how many cartons fit in a 20ft or 40ft?

Enter carton size, weight and count to get total CBM and weight, and an estimate by volume and typical payload for a 20GP, 40GP or 40HQ. It is a theoretical estimate; the real stowage plan, stacking and door clearance come from your forwarder.

Theoretical maximum, not a guarantee the cartons fit. Inside sizes and payloads are common values (20GP about 5.90×2.35×2.39 m, about 28 t; 40GP about 12.03×2.35×2.39 m, about 26.7 t; 40HQ about 12.03×2.35×2.69 m, about 26.5 t; door about 2.34 m wide). They vary by carrier and local road limits are often lower; confirm with your forwarder.
